Astro Master Dr. U. K. Jha is a distinguished scholar, researcher, philosopher, engineer, author, and one of the most respected contemporary exponents of Vedic Astrology and allied sciences. With nearly five decades of deep involvement in Jyotisha, Tantra, Vastu, and scriptural studies, he is widely known for his logical, fearless, and research-oriented approach toward Vedic sciences.
An engineer by profession and an intellectual by temperament, Dr. Jha pursued astrology alongside his academic and professional career from his early days at IIT and throughout his service as a senior executive in the Government of India. His lifelong dedication to the study of Dharma, Jyotisha, Tantra, ancient scriptures, and Indian philosophy shaped him into a rare blend of scientist, spiritual thinker, and practical astrologer.
Dr. Jha received higher guidance from several renowned masters of Vedic Astrology including Sri J. N. Bhasin, K. Ashwathappa, Hariharan Guru Ji, and the celebrated C. S. Patel. Through extensive travel across India and Nepal, he also learned many rare and hidden systems of astrological interpretation from traditional scholars, tantrik masters, and spiritual practitioners living in remote regions.
Known for his uncompromising commitment to truth and rational interpretation, Dr. Jha has consistently challenged blind beliefs, superstition, distorted doctrines, and commercially driven misinformation prevalent in modern astrology. He is regarded as one of the very few astrologers who explain classical principles with scientific logic, philosophical depth, and practical applicability.
Over the years, he has conducted numerous workshops, seminars, advanced training programs, and research sessions across the country for students, teachers, and senior practitioners of Vedic Astrology. Dr. Jha is especially recognized for his groundbreaking research and revolutionary reinterpretations in the fields of Dasa systems, divisional charts, Solar Return techniques, Ashtaka Varga, Birth Time Rectification, Jaimini Astrology, and transit analysis. His original contributions have significantly influenced advanced astrological research and academic discussions among serious students of Jyotisha.

A prolific writer and researcher, he has authored more than a dozen influential books and over one hundred thought-provoking articles published in leading astrological journals and magazines such as Fate & Destiny, Times of Astrology, Saptarishi Astrology, Mystic India, and several others.
Fondly known among his disciples as “Teacher of Teachers” (TTs) and “Astrologer of Astrologers” (AA), Dr. Jha is admired for his rare ability to explain the pristine principles underlying Vedic Astrology with exceptional clarity and intellectual depth.
