Truth of Bhrigu Nandi Nadi And Charlatans In Astro - Market
Today Charlatans are selling BNN (even Jaimini ) as an infallible tool of prognostication and are making a nonsense claim that BNN is the only real Nadi text. These novices have no knowledge of Nadi texts but are cheating the innocent gullible students through smart marketing tactics.
It is for the information of every student of astrology that there is no original text in Sanskrit or in any vernacular language of the South India by the name of “Bhrigu Nandi Nadi”. Bhrigu Nadi is a separate text of astrology and is in Sanskrit language. There is another text of palmistry by the name of “Nandiker Nadi”. There is no independent text by the name of “Bhrigu Nandi Nadi”.
So, BNN is completely a creation of R G Rao. It is not very ancient either. One may find in that book horoscopes of even the 20th century. As such, it is neither ancient nor has any touch of elements of the comprehensive wisdom of the sages. Its predictive principles give a very general type of indication and timings are based on motion and movement of planets. It is Jupiter and Saturn centric.
Let us have a look over its principles. It says if Ketu (or Rahu) is ahead of Venus some marital discord may occur. But in what way? No idea. Suppose Venus is in Lagna and Ketu in 2H OR Venus in 4H and Ketu in 5H OR Venus in 7H and Ketu in 8H, would the effects be the same for all?
Someone may say that BNN has no house consideration. Ok. Then suppose Venus is in Pieces and Ketu in Aries OR Venus in Libra and Ketu in Scorpio OR Venus in Virgo and Ketu in Libra, can there be the same type of effects in all these conditions. What would be the difference? And how to find out those differences? Is it possible to do that without the help of Parasari principles?
In the absence of Lagna, its longitude or the longitude of the planets, Parasari principles would be crippled. But without that BNN is incomplete; and even incorrect. R G Rao was a palmist and weak in mathematics. He learnt this technique from T S Vasan, but couldn’t learn in full because of his own habits.
While preparing the draft his book “Core of Nadi Astrology” he was constantly in my touch and made many revisions in the original right up after discussion with me. This fact was fully known to his principal disciple Satynarayan Nayik. So, Satyanarayana Nayik came in my contact for learning the Parasari astrology. Now most of the BNN guys have started taking Lagna into consideration.
Today the situation has been made so piquantly vibrant that I myself feel befuddled when I find these Charlatans making prodigious claims. There are novices with laughable claims of research and dare teach deeper nuances of even Jaimini Astrology. However; the fact is that they can’t explain the abstruse Sutras of JUS. Yet they have put up the cap of expertise on their head.
The same is the case with neo experts of stellar astrology or Nakshatra astrology about which I would write later. At this point I would only suggest that the students must remain away from these novices and Charlatans. Students should and must first of all learn Parasites astrology from where all these (including Numerology and Tarot Reading etc) have branched out. Without knowing Parasari astrology one can’t understand the pristine principles operating sublimely under these things nor shall they be able to detect the flaws set therein
