The Real Condition of Religion And Astrology In India Today
The field of spirituality and astrology in India today is passing through a phase which was never thought before. The pathetic state of affairs can be conspicuously gauged in the conferences held in the name of Vaidik Astrology.
One can easily see the charlatans in the ochre coloured vests demonstrating grandiosity over abstruse topics of spiritualism and self realisation from the decorated stage. Irony is that such hubris is being prompted and promoted by the pro hindutva government. Most of these people are suffering from Dunning-Kruger effect. The result is such that the seats of religiosity are tainted with frequent instances of rape and murder cases wherein persons from the corridors of power are also found verily involved. The organisation known for its homosexual notoriority is unfailingly providing protective umbrella to all these criminals. Rapists are being welcomed and garlanded with pride.
In astrology there are teachers, learners and beginners all teaching the subject and the students are scarce. All are in the binge of illusory superiority. They continuously dump the dung of their head on Utube shamelessly in unabashed manner. Many praise the party in power with a hope of getting some award.
The line of demarcation between Numerology, Palmistry, Tarot card reading, Graphology, Vastu Shastra Chakras, Foolish techniques of prognostications and all other nonsense under the name of Nadi astrology has been completely erased and all share the dias together with a chieftain of Dharma in orange garments, like a blind leading the group of blinds with lantern in broad day light. If anything is missing there is the true science of Indian Classical Astrology.
All novices masquerading as experts talk highly about remedies and therapy of breath taking successful effects. If they are to be believed then any planet of the solar system working virulently in the natal chart can be targeted with the missile of Mantra and subdued to become favourable for their clients.
I was agog to listen when Vastu Shastra expert claimed over the Mike that he can produce even a visiting card with Vastu techniques and power of Mantra which will not decay even for many decades; what to say about the concrete constructed structures. A lady Graphologist claimed that she can bring out a person from Deep Depression after examining his signature and hand writing. A man of scientific temperament and background will find himself in the circus of very high class jokers. Least said about the Numerologist, Tarot card readers and others are best.
They don’t even give a thought that regardless of their conceptual and empirical validity these are different subjects even though they draw strength from astrology. So, they ought to have their separate forum and conference and must be kind enough to spare Indian Classical Astrology which is already vexed by the misadventures of priestly class busy preparing ground for stellar system by copying things from main stream astrology. And the dimwitted person charging the conference as any Maha Mandaleshwar keeps on adding fuel to the fire of all such nonsense.
